Be Careful In Choosing Your Child's Name

Dr Yusuf Al-Qardhawi; a well-known Islamic scholar in one of his books, Fatawa Mu'asarah said that it is haraam or prohibited to name ur child Abdul-Masih (meaning the servant of Christ) or anything that give the meaning that there's another Lord other than Allah, including Abdun Nabi (meaning the servant of the prophet), Abdul Uzza (the servant of Uzza), Abdus-Syams (the servant of the sun), and the names of any ulama or sheikhs or scholars + the word 'Abdul' before it, no matter how pious/righteous he/she is.
